Kempton Park Racecourse is located in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, England, 16 miles from the London city centre.

Set on 210 acres (84 hectares) of land, Kempton Park stages National Hunt racing as well as Flat racing. The most famous race held at Kempton Park is the King George VI Chase which is run every year on Boxing Day (26 December).

During the Winter Festival, held over two days from the 26th to the 27th of December, Kempton Park hosts a number of Grade 1 races from the National Hunt calendar in addition to the King George VI Chase, including the Christmas Hurdle, Desert Orchid Chase and Feltham Chase new site.

In 2006 a multi-million pound redevelopment programme was completed.

The National Hunt Triangular circuit, which is used for the King George Chase, is 1m5f, practically flat, with 220yd run-in.

Facilities

Race goers at Kempton Park will experience excellent facilities including restaurants, bars, suites, boxes and conference rooms.

Restaurants include the Jubilee Restaurant and the brand new The Bistro at The Panoramic Restaurant. There is also a food court and a number of bars.

Transport

By Car

The racecourse is located approximately 16 miles from central London and is accessible via the A308 (leaving the M3 at junction 1) and the A316.

By Train

While Kempton Park boasts its own on site station, which is located 200 yards from the Premier Enclosure entrance, limited or no train services run on the 26th and 27th of December.

Car Parking

The Main Car Park and Car Parks B & C are on-course, Car Park A is off-site and is a short walk. All car parking must be booked.
