Kauto Star could face big King George Chase field

Kauto Star
This years William Hill King George VI Chase has received 32 entries which could see Kauto Star, who is looking for his record equaling fourth win, facing a big field.
Kauto Star is looking to equal revered Desert Orchid’s record of four wins and set a new record of four consecutive wins in the Grade 1 King George Chase. Standing in his way could be 2008 runner-up Albertas Run, Monet’s Garden, Our Vic, Madison Du Berlais, Imperial Commander and Voy Por Ustedes. Cheltenham Gold Cup winner War Of Attrition and RSA Chase winner Cooldine are among six entries from Ireland.
The maximum field size for the King George Chase is 20, and the largest field that Kauto Star has competed against was 10 in the 2008 race.
Director of racing at Kempton Park, Brian Clifford, said: “The strength and depth of the entries is very encouraging and I am were pleased that so many horses have been entered in what is sure to be a great race. It would be a fantastic achievement if Kauto Star were to win four King Georges in a row and I am thoroughly looking forward to the race.”
